I’m Joseph DeSio — the guy behind the camera at Joseph DeSio Photography. Before I ever photographed a portrait or an event, I was running lights for a rock band out of Boston. Night after night, I learned how to shape a mood with color, shadows, and timing. That experience with stage lighting is still a huge part of how I see the world.

These days, I focus on portraits and events — real people, real moments, real energy. I love capturing the expressions that happen between poses, the way a room feels during a big celebration, and the little details that make each person or event unique. Whether it’s a milestone, a gathering, or a simple moment worth remembering, I’m all about creating images that feel genuine and alive.

Photography, for me, is just an extension of what I’ve always done: use light to tell a story. And I’m grateful every time someone lets me tell theirs.
